We give out three scholarships a year

The GCSB awards up to three scholarships a year. At least one is awarded to a Māori or Pasifika woman.

Since it began in 2017, the scholarship has awarded 22 grants to people identifying as women in disciplines including:

  • computer science
  • cyber security
  • data science
  • engineering
  • maths.

Several recipients have gone on to have careers with the GCSB.

Attracting staff and building our workforce

The scholarship encourages women to consider careers at the GCSB. At in-house STEM Scholarship events, top finalists and winners find out more about the GCSB and our wide range of STEM-related careers.
